(Sorry I haven't read through the previous 11 pages today to see if this has been mentioned before - but I don't think it has.)

Check out the Knit Out Loud website at:
http://www.halifaxknitters.blogspot.com/
It's the HRM S-n-B thingie. And has a number links for local knitting blogs - so they might know about where to get roving.
(Have you found any BTW, chittybangbang?)

Crashed this computer when trying to Copy too many details to pass on to this thread - but Tuesday evening sticks in my mind (just not sure whether that is every Tuesday or not) at Uncommon Grounds on South Park Street in Halifax. (7:30-ish?)

There used to be a S-n-B in Dartmouth as well - and maybe it is still ongoing.
You can ask at Knit Out Loud I'm sure.

I've never been to either of them. I'm too far away (in Wolfville) but I have met Stephanie and regularly read her blog - http://www.bitsofhappy.blogspot.com/.
(Please say hi to her for me IF she's there and pass along my best wishes.)

Happy knitting all,
Jane2 here (Janey other places)

Rather than me going through the whole process (because it is after 2.30 a.m. and I should have gone to bed hours ago), go to the blog I linked to on the previous page.
On the right-hand side of the page of A little Bit of Happy (scroll down a bit), Stephanie has blog links for Knitting Out Loud - HRM SnB.

Goodnight.

The Loops sells roving as well. I bought a big bag of it before I left for college. (I'm from Sackville, but I'm currently living in Ottawa.)
