Hmm...I'm not too sure.  I know there are some yarn stores in Halifax but there isn't too much in Dartmouth.

There is a place in Dartmouth on Portland Street just a couple of blocks up from the waterfront...I'm pretty sure they would carry roving....

I think it's called Tangled Skeins or something close to that......

Tangles Skeins IS the name of the yarn store in Dartmouth on Portland Street, sassoet (and chittybangbang).

It's a GREAT store too - friendly, and welcoming, with a wide selection of yarns and good prices too. If they don't have roving, they will be able to tell you where to get some.
(No affiliation ... I don't even get a "cut" for pimping for them.)
