I don't know much about the loop's stock when it comes to yarn (I, uh, don't knit.) other than that it is very pretty and there are lots of different kinds and colours and that it's all stored very nicely. They sell some knitting books, too, but what I go there for is the wool I use for felting. They sell big bags of undyed stuff as well as smaller bags of mixed colours. The staff is really helpful and friendly, too. I keep meaning to go back in and show them the tomato plant dress I was working on last time I went in to buy stuff.

If you haven't already seen it, you could check out their website. http://www.theloophalifax.ca/

No problem.
I think one of their staff is a craftster member (try looking further back in this thread) and they probably know a great deal more about The Loop than I do.

Also, I found a great deal on buttons at the Dollarama of all places this week. They have little boxes of like colored buttons in the crafty section.  They come in red, yellow, orange, pink, green and blue and there are about 50 in each box in different sizes and shapes! Fabulouso deal!!

I'm in Halifax too! Though I suppose right now I'm in Ottawa, though I'll be back in Hali come a few weeks. It's great to see other Haligonians on craftster!

What about silkscreen gear? A google search turned up SFA.....as I'm stuck in the wilds of Truro, you can see how that's aggravating.... Grin
