but found candles got way too hot. So I naturally made a light strand!

That is such an awesome idea! I would have to do this with beer cans, though, don't drink any soda and the boyfriend and his friends/family drink enough beer to cover the house in beer lights. Smiley Though that's not a horrible horrible thing.

Ooh, pretty!  Good job recycling.  Smiley  I'm picturing huge strands of Guinness cans all over our house.

Did you do anything special to keep the cans on the light strands?  Maybe like making little slits for the cords to fit into?  I'd be afraid of the cans coming off and blowing away.  I must try this tomorrow.

nope! just stuck the lights into the can...and they're on there tight. they are very hard to get off.
