I made this new scarf by cutting rectangles from a green felted wool sweater and then crocheting fun fur (lion brand) around them.  First I held the panels together (2 at a time) and used a tiny steel hook (size 7 i think) to poke through both pieces and single crochet them together.  Once they were all hooked together, I single crocheted along both sides and added fringe on the ends.  It took longer than I thought it would, but I think I'll get faster with more practice.
