-make a door wreath of bottle caps

-use scissors to cut open a tin pop/beer can, remove top and bottom so you are left with a large tine saquare label, and fold the 'label' over a styrofoam ball to make an ornament

-hotglue bottlecaps 'inside to inside' with a string in the middle for hanging, and glue 'fur' or feathers or glitter around the seam to make hanging ornaments.

great for coca-cola or beer collectors!

You could also take the plastic bottle labels and wrap them around a styro ball and make an ornament. You could probably use a hair dryer on it to shrink it around the ball.

Here's a beercap wreath I made yesterday for my roommate. She's been bringing me home beer caps from work. for a while.



I used a piece of matboard for the base. The bottlecaps are strung on pipe cleaners. I punched holes in the caps using a nail and hammer. I really need to figure out a better ribbon for the top though. I only had one can so it's kinda skimpy. Ideally, I would love to use the ribbon from Pabst Blue Ribbon!

Yes, it is still made. It's like the official beer of Richmond!

And great ideas! I have a hge bag of beer bottle caps left over from a manequin I covered in bottle caps a couple years ago, and I've been waiting for things to do with them.  Cool

Also you can make them recipe books. For my mom a coca-cola drinker I went to their website and found some yummy recipes. For my Dad the beet drinker I went to webtender.com and found some cool drink mixes. I bound them with a coke box and a beer box.

I have directions somewhere for beercan butterflies.

If I can remember rightly

First cut the can so you end up with a flat piece of metal, then draw a butterfly shape.  Cut that out and shape into butterfly shape, then mount in a frame like a specimen butterfly. 

If I can find the picture I'll post it.

You can also spell out words or their initials!  I spelled out NOEL with random bottlecaps, and I made a mini bottle cap tree with smirnoff winecooler caps.  The possibilities are endless, really.
