Hi all

I love the idea of a "hipster PDA" (if you don't know what that is, check out 43folders.com). So I made one for my sister. She can add and remove pages at will and it is covered with beautiful handmade silk paper.

Here is the cover and a couple of pages. If you want to see more, go to http://photobucket.com/albums/d90/clairekelly1977/hipster%20pda/

Thanks for looking!

glitterbug:

Crafting + Hipster PDA = totally bitchin' project. I've been a convert of 43folders for awhile now, and it had never occurred to me to craft up the stack of cards that I've been carrying along with me. What a great idea! Hmm. . . it makes me want to glitter up my Moleskine, too!

What an inspiring post- I've been making modified versions of the hipster PDA in my head for two days now!  Now time to get started on the real thing!

There's too much sky and not enough blue.

it looks cool, but what exactly is a hipster pda?
i looked at 43folders, but all i got was that you clip notecards together to make one.
yours seems way more cooler than that.

That's fab! The 43folders site led me to www.diyplanner.com - another good site for a crafty planner - they have printable calendars, etc. and one version is sized for the Hipster PDA.

I think I found my husband's Christmas present...

The Hipster PDA 43folders recommends is just file cards clipped together, because you can add new ones and chuck out old ones anytime you want to. This works the same way - the binding rings are hinged, you just snap them open - and then you can chuck out or add pages as wanted. But I decorated the pages too, obviously. WAY prettier!!!
