http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v154/a1m2y3/lalaland-028.jpg

as a dress !  Grin Oh, I could not help the CHEESYness of this CHEESY pose...

found $1 per metre stripey fabric from st vinnies
and a $4 top (for waistband) that I could not resist buying because of the rainbow goodieness - from op shop

But something seems missing, it looks quite ordinary to me... Tongue any suggestions?

Maybe a little ruching - the top couple of inches of the center front.  I know it would look great when you wear it as a dress, not sure how it would affect the skirt.  Maybe you could pin on a bit of elastic and try it out.

Thanks Tongue
The skirt part is just a basic circle skirt pattern but I left the square edges (I actually followed jan_on_ice's tut for the Roaring Twenties flapper) and for the waistband I found a t-shirt at an op-shop, cut off the tube-like bit and sewed the two pieces together
hope that helped!
