i thought they were only going to have to have positive in round 1 to be in this one?

isn't that what we agreed upon? there are people in round 2 who it just isn't possible to have positive yet (and there are people who are late, but that's another story!). the last send days for round 2 were less than 2 weeks ago, if they were sending internationally, their packages wouldn't have neccessarily arrived. that's why when eowynmn first suggested this idea of needing positive, she said it would be for the 3rd last round, so that the send date was at least a month ago. that will give people time to send and receive.

i really really don't want people to start refusing to fulfill internationall wishes because of this, but it's not really fair.

originally, when we were talking about how this round would work, the plan was that they would need positive for round 1, not round 1 AND round 2. my point is that not everyone has feedback from round 2 yet, even if they sent within the required 2 weeks. some people do of course, and some people did really early on, but they just sent early.

the idea was that each round is two weeks long (ish!), and the send dates are two weeks after promising to fulfill the wish. and then there's actual travel time to consider as well, so it's not possible for everyone to have positive feedback within a month. by the time round 5 rolls around, that's when they'd need to have positive for round 1 and round 2. for round 6, they'll need to have positive for rounds 1, 2 and 3. they always need to have positive for the third most recent round, and all rounds prior to that.

you're not doing it wrong, you're just doing it differently than what eowynmn told me, so i'm checking.

This is my first wish, and I live in Canada.

1.  A "learn to spin" kit (i.e. drop spindle and instructions, I have never done this before but am getting inspired to try by the craftster spinners)

2.  handspun/hand-dyed yarn (mmmmm..... yarn..... )

4.  Wristwarmers - I have a pair that I looooooooove (did I mention that I love them?) and wear all the time, and would love another pair. The ones I have are ~10" long from the base of my fingers to well past my wrist, and ~8" around. Preferably a thin-ish wool so that they are warm but not bulky (i.e. ~ dk weight).  Thumb gusset preferred (as I wear them to knit) but not essential.  Variegated yarn preferred, if possible.

5.  A christmas tree topper, preferably a whimsical star or angel, so that this year I don't twist tie an ornament to the top of the tree yet again and pretend it is a tree topper. I have a small tree, it is ~5ft tall, so it doens't have to be huge.
