i just went thru the open swap board and like half are closed but no one has moved them... this is kinda frustrating as the whole point of splitting the boards up was to be able to browse through the open swaps easily... some organizers are slacking... grrr.

just frustrated Sad

I have to agree with you Lasandri... I keep seeing swaps and going "OOOOH!" before I realize they're *closed* ::huff:: sad days....

frankly, it's really boring work and time-consuming.  best done in a batch.  so it really makes sense to do a large number of them at once.  i.e.: get over it.

well, thanks for the support.

i didn't mean the moderator should take care of it, i meant the organizers of the swaps are supposed to be in charge of it.

isn't it the organizers job to move them, and not the mods?

...just curious...

am i misinterpreting girlypirate's comment, or was that really rude?

lasandri has a valid point, there's no need to "get over it", organizers aren't following through on their job. maybe she meant that it should be done in groups to "get it over with"?

i know i've been guilty of that as well, sometimes i just simply forget. i wonder if it would help to pm organizers when you notice that it's been closed for a few days. i've thought about doing that when i notice, but i did'nt know if people would be offended. i know i wouldn't, i'd appreciate the reminder. (now i'm paranoid, and i'm gonna go check to see if i have any threads still there!)

I kinda took it as being rude... but that may just be because of the funk I'm in... Being stuck at home while your grandmother is having surgery sucks- especially if the highways between your states are closed. Sad
But yes... I dunno, I think PMing the organizers would be a good thing... but only from a mod? and I know the mods all have so much to do already. I wish organizers would just do their jobs, ya know?  Undecided

i also thought it was rude.

the reason that i posted this in the first place was to bring attention to the problem and possibly address it. i know sometimes organizers forget to do it (i've been late once or twice) but A LOT of the posts in the open section are closed Sad which kind of defeats the point of an open section...

anyone have suggestions of what we can do about this?
