I've been wanting to learn to knit for awhile.  Since I don't know anything I think the Magic Scarf would be the best...but it seems that many people are further along than me.

Is This what the magic scarf is? Im sorry but I really have no clue...

http://www.handknitting.com/s.nl/category.1/it.A/id.8900/.f

If it is I think it would be a very good project...It is for begining knit along anyways.
The project first off could even be a simple stitch to practice or for people who dont know how to knit to learn to do so.
Then the projects could slowly advance as we learn more.

Does anyone want to take lead with this please?

Hey Hope98, here is the link for the magic scarf
http://www.crazyauntpurl.com/archives/2005/06/magic_scarf_a_b_1.php
It is made alternating between knitting and purling.

I would be willing to organize a knitalong for the magic scarf.  Seeing as I don't have any experience with knitting, this seemed like a good project.  That is unless someone else really had their heart set on organizing...

I'm leaning towards the magic scarf just because it looks fairly easy, and I'm easily intimidated...maybe afterwards, we should move up to something a little more difficult? I think I'm going to try the magic scarf either way because it just looks fun!
