One of my friends is currently nursing a broken heart and i want to make her something to cheer her up and let her know that eventhough senior heartbreaker doesn't love her, there are plenty of people who do...namely me!!!  any ideas as to what i can make her?

Thanks!! Cheesy

I once got some crackle stuff from Micheals and painted a wooden heart with it so it look like it was made of tons of small pieces, then made up this (bad) poem to go with it:

You say Ryan broke your heart,
And seeing as thats true.

I wanted to help my good friend,
So I did what good friends do,

I gathered all the pieces,
And put them together for you!

I typed the poem in word, with a picture of the heart with a bandaid as a background, attached the heart and gave it to her. It was really simple and small, but she loved it. (she ended up giving me the heart back, with a note that said she clearly couldnt be trusted with her heart and i should hold onto it for her.)

Haylie has a sweet and thoughtful suggestion. Now heres one from the opposite end of the spectrum make your friend a vodoo doll of the offender, and take turns stabbing it.
Undecided You know your friend & which one would work better for her.

ooh you know another good anger-releasing one? Holding pictures of him(or them as a couple) over a burning candle...it puffs up all nicely, highly preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'entertaining...granted'), this is not a craft, but may help...

I personally like the voodoo idea...but she hasn't quite joined me in the "not liking the stupid jerk" collumn...she's still lingering in the "i really like him why doesn't he love me" collumn...i think in a few weeks she'll be ready for the voodoo doll  Wink

i was thinking about something along the lines of a broken heart something...what i'm thinking is of embroidering a broken heart on a canvas tote and adding a line from a song we both like...and a few sords of encouragement maybe on the strap...what do you think?

or any more ideas?

I think the image / sentiment are appropriate for where your friend is at right now, but a tote bag is kinda of a permanent thing...Is she really going to want to carry around a reminder of her pain like that?  Maybe something like a card with a broken heart, but along with a totebag thats about some of her good qualities/passions separate and apart from he-whose-name-we-will-not-speak.
My 2 cents.
