I made this gal a few weeks ago, but I've been really lazy about posting.  She's crochet using a strand each alpaca and that cheapy (and lamentably sold out) Target eyelash yarn, so she's extra fuzzy.

She kinda reminds me of an abominable snow monster, but since she's an abominable snow bunny, she even more rare.  Maybe that's why she's so solemn--she is the only one of her kind.  (Unless I decide to make more!)

SO cute! My mom bought me a few of those cheap target yarns, and I wondered what it would look like mixed with regular yarn. It looks sooo darling! I'm definitely inspired Cool

You should make her a whole family.  Smiley

Oops!  I haven't been keeping up!

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Yep, that Target yarn was good while it lasted.  I only bought one skein and am kicking myself that I didn't buy the fuzzy orange as well.

If you try something like this, I do recommend coupling the furry yarn with a smooth yarn--much more stable and without the smooth yarn, it seems almost impossible to see/feel the stitches.

Also, it's been my experience that all that good fuzziness gets shoved through to the wrong side when crocheting.   I recommend following the advice that Skullseamstress gave on one of my other posts.  Use a round brush to gently bring all the fuzzy bits from the wrong side of the fabric to the right side.  It works really well!

No pattern--sorry!  I didn't even know what type of creature it was going to be until I finished the body.  I just made a basic roundish/eggish shape for the body and then the features just kind of defined themselves as I went along.

I'm sure your imagination will yield something you will be proud of.

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

Cute solemn bunny. I was hoping to get some inspiration to use up the stash of Target yarn that I purchased. Thanks for the idea.

I'm very into Britney Spears' early work, before she sold out, so mostly her, um, finger painting and macaroni art.

If all else fails, hide.  It works for bunnies.
