Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

Wow! That ornament is awesome. Okay, how do you keep your kitty from climbing up the tree to play with the ornaments?

My cats use to climb the tree too when they kittens but they don't do it anymore.  They just like to sit under the Christmas Tree and chew the wrapping paper and ribbons.  They even like to sit under the tree when there are no gifts to chew on.

I'm a cat lover and I love that and so I was wondering...is the cat made out of clay? The fish part would be easy to do I think I would have the most trouble making the kitty. Advice plz?

The cat is also made of out polymer clay, but it's actually a lot easier than it looks. his body is just a cylinder rolled so that it's narrower at the top (his upper body), his legs and arms are just little "snakes" of clay. i used a toothpick to give him "claws." his head is just a ball of clay, seed beads for eyes, and little circles of lighter brown clay for cheeks. again, i used a toothpick for details.

be sure to click the link to HGTV on page on for a full tutorial.  Wink

and as far as keeping kitties from getting up the tree, my cat is old and lazy (And a little too plump to make it up the tree!) so he finds sleeping much more interesting than ornaments.  Smiley
