I was at Border's this weekend and saw a new magazine... cutting edge.  Its pretty neat.  Sewing, knitting, crafts, etc, kinda geared to a more trendy set.  Almost like a mix of threads magazine and knit1.  I can't find anything online about this magazine, or much about the publisher, soho publications co.

Hi-
I saw this magazine and had to buy it too! I sew, knit, and crochet, so it is perfect. I like the outfit on page 39: you can make every piece!

My only problem is trying to remember if I sent in the subscription card. Did I? or Didn't I?

Haha... me too... I can't remember if I decided to go for it or if I threw it away.  Smiley

I just picked it up, too, at Hancock. Hancock seems to sponsor it or team up with it. I've saw it at the grocery store after I bought it, too.  I'm planning to make that fleece "hot water bottle" rice warmer for hubby for Christmas. In fact, I think I'm down to three more gifts and they're all fleece.

Oh yeah, the magazine has coupons, too. 25% off fleece. yay. (and it's already cheaper at Hancock than at Walmart...that's weird I think).

I'm so glad someone mentioned this. Every time I look at mine I think "Ohhh I need to post about this on craftster."  Smiley

Oh yeah...one word of caution: They slipped in a tea cozy toward the end.

I got mine at Hancock's, too, though I saw in BandN last night.  Actually, I saw it advertised in Hancock's flyer and I stalked the store for the next two weeks, waiting for it to come out.  I really like it.  I haven't subscribed, yet, though.  I want to see at least the next issue, to make sure that the quality is same (and not that they put all the good stuff in the first issue to suck me in!).  I thought it had some great ideas, and the coupons were definately a plus.

There's a layout in there featuring a Vogue coat pattern: http://store.sewingtoday.com/cgi-bin/voguepatterns/shop.cgi?s.item.V8123=x&TI=  (the one in the middle).  I really love this, but I'm not sure what I would wear it with and when...so I haven't bought the pattern, yet.

Shocked How's that for a writer? I've saw it? eek. I don't even say that. lol ok ok .......... Embarrassed

Yeah, that is a really nice coat. I haven't subscribed either.  I have vowed never to subscribe again because then I feel guilty if I want to pick up a different magazine. $$$

It's because of that magazine I cut my blazer down. It's because of Craftster I was able to turn the blazer into a purse after I butchered it.  Roll Eyes

I got an issue of this one in my Christmas stocking...I really like it.  I am going to wait a few months and buy it off the stand before I commit to subscribing, but I'm excited so far Smiley  The clothes featured in this issue were really pretty...
