I think I've been pretty productive over this Thanksgiving holiday!! Huge thanks to the people on this board posting helpful hints and tutorials.  This is sort of a mish-mash of ideas I got by lurking on this board and putting several things together.  It's basically a HUGE jordy-type bag, but I added a flap and a pocket in the lining.  Big firsts for me!  It was fun to do this pocket--look who peeks out at you!!

I would consider myself a cat lover, but this is a gift for someone obsessed with her cats!!  Probably the only person who would actually carry it, too!!! Thanks again for everyone who posts projects here, to inspire my own!!

Great job!  The peeking pocket is my favorite part.  Cool idea for those cat lovers with more subtle cat crazy taste.  It would be a hoot to put a cat or dog or other fav animal peeking out of a pocket in an other wise plain or stately purse.  Thanks for the inspiration.

This is sweet!  Any cat lover would adore this bag.  I really like your choice of color combos with the outer and liner fabrics.

I actually found the fabric at Wal-Mart.  It's a really thin nylon/polyester type fabric, so I beefed it up a bit with some interfacing.  They had it in fleece, too--and they had a dog version.  Thanks, all, for the kind words!
