you remember, from biology class, when you had to make a model of a cell (or at least color one in)?
this is my biology cell model, from two years ago, which i now feel a compulsion to share with you:

check the skillz:

And what the things are:
The pink sort of visible in the lower left corner: cell membrane
green blobs: lysosomes
blue oval blobs: mitochondria
varigated pink/peach/white patch with red balls: endoplasmic reticulum.
red balls: ribosomes
brown blob: Golgi apparatus
purple circle: nucleus
darker purple circle: nucleolus
red around purple circle: nuclear envelope
cream background: cytoplasm
aaannnd: blue/turquoise yarn: spindle fibers

i'm now making one for my physics teacher for his birthday... he saw it when i brought my portfolio to school with me to be photographed for college apps, and he loved it, so i offered to make him one...
gotta get a move on. and make one for my brother, a bio major, for christmas, as well.

at least i was able to crochet a brain hat for psych this year  Smiley
