Here it is! I had an old cabinet and I cut the middle of the doors out and added wire. I also but vinyl down and sealed the edges. I still need to put ladders but I hope you like it. Grin

Sorry I didn't know how to flip the pictures Undecided

i was wanting to do that for my rat (i named him ferdinand de saussure, after the father of modern linguistics... god i'm a dork) but unfortunately he died before i could do it. (no worries, he was old, just his time to go) i think that once yard sale season rolls around again, i may have to make one and get some more rats. they make such great pets.

I've been looking for a shelf to do the same thing.  My little girls need to bigger and more posh home than what they have now. Wink

Great job on your mansion. Smiley

Oh man what a cool idea, I've had three pet rats and thought I was doing something giving them paper tubes to play with.  That makes me want to get a couple more pet rats!  Neat!

ooooooh.  something like this would be swell for my ferrets.  they are always getting into my cabinets and drawers to take naps, so i'm sure they would love it.  although i'm worried they would find some way to escape.

Thats adorable.  I've been contemplating making one of these for my little friend as well Smiley I was trying to figure out the best way to make a wire front for it and I never thought of using a cabinet with doors, I was just going to attempt to fashion it out of a small bookcase. So thanks for the idea! Now I just need to clean my room so I have SPACE for it.

What a great idea!  I may have to make one of these for my Lt. Zogg.  She's just a little hamster though, so it would be a super mansion for her.
