Since my last post wasn't really a recipe I will post one of my favorite things to make.  Its not really a recipe either in the traditional sense I guess because I don't really cook with measurements.
Okay you need
red potaoes ( I usually use a 3 or 5 lb bag because I Love it so much)
sour cream
ranch dressing
mayo
bacon ( I guess you could use bacon bits but the bacon really gives it flavor)

You quarter the potaoes and boil them.  ( I leave the skins on because they are real thin and taste good)  It usually takes me about 20 minutes.  While its boiling, I cook some bacon (about 4 pieces).  I let them cool and then crumble them in a paper towel.  Then you put the potatoes in a big bowl and mash them.  I add a little bit of mayo (like 1 big spoonful), lots of sour cream and ranch to taste.  I usually add pepper and sea salt.  The ranch dressing gives it most of its flavor.  If its not ranch-y enough I add a little of the powder kind you use for dip.  You then add the crumbled bacon.  Sometimes if I have fresh chives I add them on top.
It is so good.  I had to learn how to make my own when the grocery store I used to buy it from quit selling it.  Enjoy.
