Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone might be able to tell me if I should be concerned about Lamb's Pride colors bleeding upon washing...

I am working on a sweater in Lamb's Pride worsted and have bands of cream-colored yarn bordered by bands of dark green and deep red, and I fear that the darker colors are going to discolor the cream color when I wash the sweater to block it (if I ever finish the knitting part of it, that is). Has anyone had any experience with this happening, or, hopefully, not happening? There would be nothing worse than the white stripes turning pink upon washing; and would be especially ironic considering I am knitting S'n'B's "Manly Sweater." Pink stripes would be very decidedly NOT manly.

Thank you in advance for any warnings or assurances anyone might be able to provide!

Ive felted with Lambs Pride and not had colors run - you should probably be okay, although different dyes (for different colors) behave differently, so I can't say for sure.  To be safe, block in cool water, and keep some white vinegar handy - that stuff will stop the bleeding, pronto.  It's really amazing.
