Domokun simply rocks. I'll have to show my boyfriend. He loves domokun. (I think he's planning a t-shirt with it on, sometime soon. Maybe i'll make him one for christmas.... idea-factory's firing up here)
Cute.

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

It is amazing what you do with felt. Great! I used the wrong type of liquid adhesive on some felt faces and the colors bled all over. Icky looking. I'm into stitching everything now. I like your Domokun.

I once stuffed an emergency koala (it was an urgent case of crafting on a live role play ) with plastic bags and old socks. It was very appreciated by the girl who played the big koala (and had lost her baby from her pouch) anyway, and my boyfriedn felt just a little bit content knowing his old socks were in it Wink

ok tut hehe

these are the parts you need

pls remember that domokun only has 4 upper and 4 lower teeth (fr all the pictures that i've seen of this lil fella)

A) top and bottom of domokun
make it to whatever size u desire
the 4 tabs are just extra material to sew on

B)domokun's legs
the circle is domokun's foot
the rectangle is the leg itself
the 2 tabs are just extra material to sew on
make it to whatever size u desire
dimension 'c' is the length of domokun's legs + a little extra material, about 2cm, to pinch and sew after you have stuffed the legs.
dimension 'd' equalvalent to the circumference of the foot (circle)

C)eyes mouth and teeth
make it to whatever size u desire (of cos proportionate to the size of ur domokun)
simply glue (or stitch if u want.....) the top and bottom rows of teeth like in the picture

D)domokun's arms
whatever size u desire
cut them with about 0.5-1cm extra fabric around the cut.
4 pieces ---- left arm, left right        right arm, left right

E)domokun's body
the 2 tabs are just extra material to sew on
whatever size u desire (remember that domokun's body is rectangular)
dimension 'e' is the perimeter of part A (same as a + a + b + b)
dimension 'f' is the length of domokun's body plus about 1-2cm extra fabric to sew on

1) fold part E in half and sew (this is the inside of domokun)
2) join part A to part E..... like so......

and make ur way round the edge of part E. it will look like this...... (remember this is inside out) u're sewing the bottom of domokun.

the dotted line is the sew line. the drawing on the right shows how it is joined, better...
the reason why it is sewn like this is so that the edges of the cut felt are not exposed

3) sew part B together....first the leg - sew the rectangular strip to make a cylinder
then turn it right side out (with the tabs and sew line inside) and then blanket stitch the foot/circle on. if u do a tight blanket stitch, domokun will look like he's got feet instead of just a cylindrical leg. stuff it. pinch it at the top and sew shut.
after you have done 2 legs, attach the legs to the bottom of the domokun (what u've done in step 2) make sure u keep the stitching as well hidden as possible.

4) sew 2 pieces of part D together as shown above(this is inside out).... dotted lines are sew lines/stitch lines. leave a hole at the bottom for stuffing. invert the arm right side out. stuff it through the hole and sew it shut.

5) repeat step 4 again for the other arm.

6) attach the 2 arms to the body (part E) and try to hide all stitches.

7) glue on parts C on the body (part E)

8 ) stuff domokun's body (part E)

9) sew on the remaining piece of part A (this is the top of his head)

10) give him a cuddle!!!

yeap hope my tut's not confusing....
if you do not wish to have concealed joints, then forget about the tabs and extra material, and just blanket stitch the parts together. Smiley
for a more 'defined' body, u may choose to sew the body up with 4 separate pieces, but from pictures domokun doesnt have seams vertically down his body so yea.
