I have a queen quilt planned and I'm not looking forward to the quilting part. I'm seriously considering sending it out to be long arm quilted.

My mom and I tied the king sized quilt that we made last Christmas. We spread it out over her dining room table (glass topped), and shifted it when we needed to tie other sections.

I think that if I ever do a really nice quilt, I might look into getting it quilted on a longarm. There are a couple of places nearby that do it. I do have a strip quilt I want to try quilting myself, but I'm not quite set up for it. Once my craft room is done and I have a bigger table to work on, I'll give it a go.

I'm beginning to wonder about doing a QAYG thing with the Crane blocks I got in the last quilt block swap - I want to put sashing between them anyway and it would make life a LOT easier...

I still don't get how that method of QAYG works. I think I need to watch a video about it.

And, for my birthday, I asked my mom to buy me an add a 1/4" ruler...I think I've definitely been sucked into the world of quilting. I'm hoping to try HSTs soon!
