Me too. I'll be sending SparkleHorses bag tomorrow. Whenever she gets it I'll add pics to my original post on the first page of the gallery.

RacyRoo- That bag is great! I NEVER in a million years would have thought to do something so cool.

Wow, thanks. I appreciate your comment. I had a lot of anxiety over whether the bag was "good enough".
I guess that feeling just goes along with the (swap) territory!

Seeing the amazing finished bags so far I feel totally inadequate.

BEFORE:

AFTER: I feel bad because I didnt do much to the bag. It was just so simple and elegant that I didnt want to ruin it. I tried to keep with a 50's evening bag type feel.
I sewed silver ribbon to the strap to give it some jazz

Inside: needed slight glitterification

On the back I sewewd a black snap so SparkleHorse could add decorations to the bag based on her outfit. I made two for her:

And a Holiday flower theme:

Extras: a key ring and a mirror that I didnt make but I spifified

Mini notepad I made for those last minute notes/directions/phone numbers

I also sent a handmade stamped Alice in Wonderland card that I got from the talented GirlWonder in another swap. Grin
And just because I took a million pictures here is a picture of my lamp wearing the bag

See my pretty bag???  In hindsight, I think I picked a hard purse for my swap buddy to revamp, but she did such a great thing with it! The flowers are SO CUTE and the little ribbons for the side are so creative. Purse Lurve was had by all.

thanks MadelBlue!!   Cheesy

"But why don't you scream now?" Alice asked, holding her hands ready to put over her ears again.

"Why, I've done all the screaming already," said the Queen. "What would be the good of having it all over again?"

I love it!!! What kind of material did you use for the lining? and where can I get some?Huh?
The changeable decoration idea is brilliant (I may have to 'borrow' that for round 2)

Great job!!!

Very nice, MadelBlue! The idea for the interchangeable decorations on the outside is genius!

Everyone's purses are looking so lovely. I can't wait to see what glitteratti has done with that awful bag I sent her way!
