I just got an idea that I do love myself as I was playing with my puppy. I'm not sure if there has ever been a swap such as this, but I'll put it out there/ relive it. Onwards! Don't we all love are faithful companions, and do very much enjoy showing them off? Why not have a swap where You send 5 or so of your favourite pictures of your pet, and your swap buddy can make things based on/using these pictures? Of course there may be some technical difficulties with people who don't have access to cameras / can't take a good picture for the life of them. In that case, you could (if you have artistic abilities) draw a picture, or for people with pets that are similar looking between breeds, find another picture for them to use as an example. (Or have someone else take a picture.) Some ideas to make WITH the pictures would be journals, bags, lockets, etc. Since I'm still a very very newborn to these boards, and in a sense crafting, I wouldn't be up for making a swap. I just felt it might be good to let the idea out and if anyone wants to they can take over.

This would be a cute swap idea.  I also think that pictures should be emailed instead of snail-mailed.  Not only will it be faster, and illiminate any chance of photos getting lost, but then there are more crafting possibilities with a computer (and you can make mistakes without ruining your only crafting material).  Even if someone doesn't have a digital camera or scanner, you can scan pictures at most stores with a photo dept and they give you a disk or a way to access them online.
