I just got an idea that I do love myself as I was playing with my puppy. I'm not sure if there has ever been a swap such as this, but I'll put it out there/ relive it. Onwards! Don't we all love are faithful companions, and do very much enjoy showing them off? Why not have a swap where You send 5 or so of your favourite pictures of your pet, and your swap buddy can make things based on/using these pictures? Of course there may be some technical difficulties with people who don't have access to cameras / can't take a good picture for the life of them. In that case, you could (if you have artistic abilities) draw a picture, or for people with pets that are similar looking between breeds, find another picture for them to use as an example. (Or have someone else take a picture.) Some ideas to make WITH the pictures would be journals, bags, lockets, etc. Since I'm still a very very newborn to these boards, and in a sense crafting, I wouldn't be up for making a swap. I just felt it might be good to let the idea out and if anyone wants to they can take over.

This is on the wrong board.  You should move it to the New Swap Ideas board.

So sorry, I was confused. Could you direct me in how to move my topic?

Hehe, don't worry, we're all a little confused sometimes    Roll Eyes

There should be a "Move Topic" button in the bottom left-hand corner of this page, just use that.

This would be a cute swap idea.  I also think that pictures should be emailed instead of snail-mailed.  Not only will it be faster, and illiminate any chance of photos getting lost, but then there are more crafting possibilities with a computer (and you can make mistakes without ruining your only crafting material).  Even if someone doesn't have a digital camera or scanner, you can scan pictures at most stores with a photo dept and they give you a disk or a way to access them online.

sounds like a really cute idea. i've got a ridiculously cute basset hound, and i'd love to see something made with her picture.  Grin
