I've got to say, I think this is one of the most confusing patterns I've ever knit from! Even just knitting it is complicated, not to mention trying to modify it.

Now that I've deciphered the instructions, I'm pretty sure I'm knitting it alright- except for one thing. In the pattern, are the finished measurements for pre or post felting?

I assumed post felting, but I measured the base of my laptop bag, and it's 16", exactly what the finished measurements say. My gauge is correct, so this led me to wonder, could the finished measurements be pre felting?

From anyone who has worked on this bag, help is greatly appreciated!

Sometimes it's knit and sometimes it's crochet.

I just wanted to say that all of the bags look great! I'm going to keep watching this thread because I'd like to try to make one for my daughter's laptop. I like all of the color combinations I've seen here so far so it's going to be difficult to decide.
