I have to point out that the second link for Fur Yarn is yarn made from animal pelts .... which means the animals have been killed...... just so it's clear.... they aren't talking about 'fun' fur.
http://www.furyarn.com/main/content.php?page=9  (see question #3)

Personally, I'm opposed.

I was just about to say the same thing.

Personally, I'm not, but I just wanted to make sure people that do oppose it knew!

I think it'll made great cat toys, for my boys.  They already hunt everything else, especially "natural" wool yarn (with the oils), so some real fur will be good for them!

The first one looks like it was made from Muppet pelts.

The second one is just gross.  Tongue

Oops! Wish I had read this whole thread before jumping on the 'free-sign'. Im not crazy about knitting with real animal fur, theres enough of it already on my pets and floor that I could harvest from my vaccuum bag if I wanted to do that! Maybe they will run out before getting my address. If not, I dont know what to do with it..except make a cat toy.  Cry
