I made this nifty pin cushion at my incredibly boring job...woo hoo.  I love sushi!

It is about 2" high and 1.5" accross.  I am thinking about adding another piece of sushi on the side (attached) with roe or something on the top.  I'll edit the pics if I do.

It must be that time of the year!!! Yesterday I made my first felt sushi thing. I wouldn't call it a pincushion though, since it's not "heavy bottomed" at all..... what filling did you use for yours? Sushi...... yuuummmmmmmmmm :-)

I used nothing.  It's solid felt.  It's pretty dense because I used a long strip of felt doubled and sewn for the black outside and the white inside.  Then used Sewn, doubled felt pieces for the center pieces too.  So it's a solid mass of felt.
