Lorac's Murloc Hat

Murlocs are frog-like monsters from Blizzard's 'World of Warcraft'. I thought they would make good hats. I feel pretty pleased with myself as this is the first thing I've designed/made from scratch.

I couldn't resist the Infamous Chicken Viking Hat. Thanks for the directions, Skullseamstress!

I was a bit enthusiastic when it came to the bumps.

Those are awesome!  What kind of pattern/formula did you use for the horns?

Thank you!

I made the prototype-horns in the round, but it wasn't working properly. I ended up making triangles starting from the narrow end (chain 4, turn, sc along, *increase at each end of next row, do a few more rows...*, repeat... ). Then I just folded them over, sewed them up, and stuffed them.

What realm are you on, nixx? I'm on one of the European ones - Bloodhoof. Anyone else play?

Would you wear this hat in public?

What about night elf ears?

When I wear the murloc, I can feel the spikes bounce as I walk, and I'm sure ears would do the same. It could have chained strands for hair, but they would take a long time.

I might make a few toy murlocs. My hat is lonely and after all, you can never pull one at once.

haha... i've been able to pull just one before, but those murlocs can be a pain in the butt!
