Did you cut away at the bite mark?

To make them slip-ons perhaps cut the other one as close to a match as possible leaving a little raised part where your heal is (liike a quarter or eight of an inch) then get some black bias tape, or a black strip of vinyl/leather that matches and glue then sew it along the edge.

Dont know if that helps. I think its worth a try you cant make them worse. Obviously they are un-wearable as is.

You'd be surprised what a good cobbler can do. If you really love them I'd take them to a shoe repair and see if they can patch them up. My friend's god ate my favorite loafers once and after they were fixed for about $10  you couldn't even tell.

If you cannot have them repaired, I suggest cutting the other shoe to match and use some ribbon to glue on near the back and have them lace up, that way they stay on and still look like ballet slippers (but the ones that tie up  Wink). Good luck! My favorit black ballet flats stay in my room away from my kittens, I would be soo mad if they ruined them....  Angry
