hey! here's my first reconstructed clothing project! i made this skirt out of my dad's old dress shirt and the bottom of a grey/blue tshirt. sorry, no tutorial planned, there's tons of these around the boards. but i wanted to show it off! i'm so proud!

what do you think??

my reconstruction projects have been lacking lately (pattern drafting has become an obsession!) But as soon as the T shirts for my band come, I'm planning to reconstruct a few- so I have a different one for every show I go to LOL

that is one mighty sassy skirt.  And by sassy I mean short!  It looks great, love the plaid fabric.

length-wise its actually not so bad. it's hardly as short as one you'd buy from A&F. It comes about mid-thigh on me, cuz i'm pretty short.
the plaid is my dad's old dress shirt! he has tons of plaid dress shirts and he's giving them all to me! i'll be posting more pics as i make purses etc out of them. i'm gonna try a jordy bag!!
