Rackycoo is a crafting genius and I know I'm going to LOVE IT!

Ack! Now I feel pressure. And swap anxiety. Oh no.

Dang, Charles Manson. I hate to say it, but that might have been a better theme that the one I picked. At least, stifflersmom, you would have been the only one you know with that bag!! Sorry, what you're getting is a little tamer.

Okay, guys.  I think that what it has come down to is that I'm going to be painting on Michelle's bag.

She told me she likes tattoos so here are a couple of things I found that I thought she might like:

Or maybe some kind of symbol.  I know this is her first time doing a swap, so maybe one for "Create." XD

ok advice... what are your best methods for adding a lining to a leather purse?

E6000 seems to be fickle and doesn't seem too sturdy. any tips?
I can't sew it in because my poor machine wouldn't be able to handle it. maybe i should sacrifice my fingers for a greater good and try to hand sew it in?  Wink

Actually the E6000 works great if you apply it to the leather, wait 20-30 seconds so it gets a bit tacky then press your material on to it. I used that in the first revamp. Worked like a champ. Good luck!

i got the glue to work! yessssss.
i did the tacky thing, plus roughed up the leather a bit with my friend the  xacto.

aaaannnd...the purse is done!
i was hoping to ship it yesterday, but i wanted to let the glue set really good in case i needed to make any adjustments.

I'm almost done, too... I was hoping to mail it back this weekend, but I was sick over New Year's weekend and didn't get much done... I'm hoping my final step in the reconstruction goes well, I'm a little worried!

So.. I need some sewing advice. I think I'll be at the sewing stage by tomorrow. I will take pictures of what I need to know how to do and if anyone would like to be a sewing advisor for me I'll PM them to you with my questions. Specifically I need to know what kind of stitch to use to hand stitch it (I know nothing about stitches, but if you suggest one I can look it up) and also what kind of thread that would be strong enough.
Thanks guys!!!
I'm nervous about this part- cause the whole bag rests on it and I have NO IDEA HOW TO DO IT!!!
(Don't worry Fyberduck- I promise I'll send you something wonderful.. really.....)
