The purse I'm revamping for gingerquilts finally let me know its name.  It's now known as Slowpoke.

Or maybe that's my name.

Phase II is near completion.  Still figuring out Phase III.

i'm getting stressed abut this - you all are doing such elaborate revamps!

psyche's purse doesn't really need THAT much, and we both like the pinstriped material, so i can't cover it up, and that's really limiting me...

i have a cool idea, but i'm worried that it's not quite as "out there" as some of the others!

oh, and if you have any suggestions, feel free! i just posted a pic of it in the gallery.

I don't have any showstopping ideas for you, crafty_dame.  But don't forget that it's the Thrift Store Purse Revamp Swap--not the Out-There Purse Contest!  If you think your partner would like it, then it's good to do, as far as I'm concerned.
I don't think mine's going to be "out there," either.  I think the plastic raffia on the "before" was a bit "out there," and I embarked on Operation Conquer Raffia.  And I'm getting there...

The pinstripe reminds me of a business suit, and the bag looks a little stuffy. I would give it just a little glitz so it looks like a naughty secretary. (A peek of fishnet, a flash of diamond...)

I like the way you think racky!!

Just a reminder - the revamped purses need to be in the loving care of the post office on Saturday the 14th of January.

Zip me a PM with the DC# when you ship and let me know when you receive. Thanks!!

Mayviss & Pineapplejeb have not received their before bags from their partners - k8tykat & sweetmarie. Everyone keep their fingers crossed for them! They will have extra time to revamp when they receive the bags.

k8tykat & sweetmarie - PLEASE ship those bags out before Friday the 13th with a DC# so your partners can revamp them.

i got the glue to work! yessssss.
i did the tacky thing, plus roughed up the leather a bit with my friend the  xacto.

aaaannnd...the purse is done!
i was hoping to ship it yesterday, but i wanted to let the glue set really good in case i needed to make any adjustments.

holy crap. you're done?!
aaaah!  i'm "almost" done.  i've had a glueing incident.  i'm re-thinking my original plans. ack!
i'll be ready by the deadline though...skullerina will be ready to unveil, i promise!

Okay, I'm done!!!  A few minor imperfections due to novice gluing, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  My husband loves it and doesn't want me to send it back - but I don't think he needs a cute little handbag!!  I hope Cheap Thrills likes it!
I probably won't be able to get to the post office until tomorrow, though  Embarrassed

k8tykat shipped to her partner, so we are just waiting on sweetmarie to get her before bag to her partner.

After a lot of blood, sweat and cussing Rackycoo's bag should be winging its way back home tomorrow. Yay!

How is everyone else doing? There are three full days of revamping until the deadline. I can't wait to see more lovelies on the gallery.
