This bag is very similar to SnB Marsupiah Tote. As you can see I added more stitches to the width of the bag so that I can fit some of my bigger knitting books. I really like how it turns out and I think next time around I'll try a brighter color or may be add some extra touches to the bag. (sew some beads on or may be felted flowers)

This cream bag is my own design....first attempt:) What do you all think? I haven't figure out how to spice it up yet. I brought it to work last week and my co worker really likes it. Im going to add it to my x'mas project list.

Those bags are beautiful!

Did you make the little pouch that goes inside also?

i love both of the bags- they're not at all frumpy, which i sometimes feel knitted purses come out looking like. if you want to "spice" up the cream one a bit, you might try adding some cool, big, colorful buttons where the handles meet the body of the bag.
again- very nice!

Awesome! They look great. Very european. All you need is a baguette sticking out of one end....or knitting needles. Smiley
What yarn did you use? It's interesting because the stitches are still pretty visible....you said you felted them, right?

Yeah actually the cream tote doesn't felt very well. I got a good lesson for not felting a light color yarn. I use pure wool for the brown one and it turns out much better than I thought.

I am in the process of making my first felted bag now from Peace Fleece.  We'll see how it turns out.  What do you use to line the bag?  I don't really want to go buy expensive yards of fabric to use as lining, but I do want my bag to be usable.  Any suggestions?

Totally dig your bags by the way.  What yarn did you use for the brown one?
