finally i made myself a pencil case. had been planning about it for months. here i go...

n here's my tut...

take a piece of desired fabric, i took about 10" x 8". fold in half. cut squares at both ends of the bottoms (jordy's tip) i cut out 1.25" x 1.25" squares. also mark about 1" at top (both sides) n cut it diagonally.

when opened it'll look like this.

now u'll add the zipper. fold down the fabric about a quater inch n place it on the zipper. sew.

for sewing the other side, open the zipper completely, mark where the fabric edges meet. fold down, pin it in place n sew.

ur zipper part is done. turn wrong side out. keep the zipper half open. now sew the sides as shown.

now pinch the bottom n sew.

ur DONE! turn it right side out.

ENJOY!!

p.s any comments, questions, suggestions are most welcomed. <3

They would totally sell! You could even stencil on them and charge a little more!

I attempted to make one of these this morning but between my bad luck and the fact that my sewing machine is trying to kill me (it broke about four times this morning and I had to tinker around with it to get it to work again) I ended up with more of a make-up bag or coin purse. It's just short enough that pens and pencils won't fit into it. So I am going to try again. I just salvaged a zipper from a skirt I made a while ago that wasn't too flattering on me.  Thank you for the tute.

wow, this is so easy and awesome
i made it to my second sewing project and i just started without any other information, i didn't even use a zipper foot of the sewing machine ... well, it got a bit short but i love it anyway, it's great.
thanks so much for sharing this
