I finished my bathroom a few weeks ago, but have finally gotten around to posting a pic of my work.
It started out as some type of yellow plaid wallpaper on the countertops, and ended up taking that off, and what was left was an ugly goldflecked cream formica and I had to cover it, so I ended up superglueing down glass pieces, with lots of orange and blue to match my bathroom, and then grouted it in! I LOVE how it turned out and hope you do too!
The beginning

all glued in but not grouted

finished and grouted and ready for wear

That's gorgeous! I love the colors. Are they pieces of glass tile or what are they?
Great job, it looks professional to me!

If you can't figure it out, I LOVE that countertop! Absolutely gorgeous!!!!

I'd do the same thing in my place if I wasn't renting. I'll have to store this idea in the back of my mind for a million years down the road when I finally buy a house.

Beautiful work!

Thanks guys!..... They are pieces of stained glass I bought then cut up. The grouting part is the hardest and most time consuming. You have to dedicate a night to it! The glass you can just glue down at will and take however long you like! Though I did have a sore back doing the back part of it! Tongue

Oh!  That is very lovely indeed!    Although...I am a sucker for formica and liked the original as well.   =P    The new version is better though!

Oh THAT is wonderful!! And for renters...you can always cut a piece of board to fit and mosaic that, and you can take it with you to make a nice table or something later!
I used to live in an apartment that had really huge, deep windows, and I always wanted to mosaic the inside around the windows. It would've looked awesome, but I doubt if my old landlord would've been impressed!
I love, love, love mosaic!

I want this now, I will use the board idea when I go to college. I hope I can cut it to be flush though, for some reason I am still really really bad at measurements. I hate cutting, anything. I should deidcate a day to practice. Anyway enough tangent.

That is so awesome  - so bright and colourful, I love it!!   I'm not usually a fan of mosaics but I just love this.
