that's freaking incredible.  the shots of people 'interacting' with the art totally trip me out.  thanks for sharing the link!

I read your manifestos and strange religious tracts.  You took me to your library and kissed me in the stacks.

Blimey, that's fantastic. I wish someone would do something like that in the middle of my village. Grin

Yeah, I love that work... I bookmarked that site a while back. I wish someone would do that around here, too! But you have to realize how that art has to be approached the right way. Example (it's that picture of the swimmer from the wrong side of the street):

Do you have the link to other pictures of that work? It would be cool to see how it was 'supposed' to look.

The swimmer is second from the bottom on the link jakesgirl posted. Smiley I love looking at the "wrong" view and then looking at it the right way.  So cool.  Who is this guy and what city is this?  I'd love to see this live.  Impressive!

What impresses me far more than his actual talent at recreating figures and such with his pastels, which is far beyond my own skill with those #@)@*#$^ little sticks of colored doom, is his grasp on perspective.  Holy cow.

I agree it is definitely the perspective. "Little sticks of colored doom"- That's great!

I don't know if it's the same guy or not (probably not, though the background does look European), but I saw a guy in London who did amazing chalk art like this. I don't remember exactly what the subject was, but it was like a wheel design, and it was so impressive--it was actually embarassing, I was walking along with a friend and talking and I almost stepped on it.  Shocked But I caught myself in time! That guy is amazingly talented.
