i finished my candygan. The candy cardigan from Knitty.

I'm very proud of it. I had to learn to crochet to do the buttonholes and My! was that a kerfuffle! (i turned my crochet into knitting... i don't know how that's possible).
The cuffs are a bit wonky, i'm not really a fan of them. But I made some adjustments to the body so it fits in the bust (the original was designed for the less-busty gal).
Alterations are in this thread here:

Pictures (i pull a funny face when i take photos, and yes i'm wearing pyjamas Smiley )

Yay! thanks guys. i love complients Cheesy

the yarn was mystery-ebay-yarn-with-labels-from-the-1980s. 'Silkspun'.
It was a worsted wool/silk blend so it is sooooooo soft, and, best of all, it only cost me $1.40 USD per ball!
I wish in retrospect i'd bought all the Silkspun the lady had listed.
As it is i have about a trillion (9, i think) balls of cream left over. And two of blue.

the cream stripes on the waistband were wider than the pattern called for because i was scared of running out of blue yarn (the balls had no meterage/ yardage on them).

Man, I had no interest in that pattern until I saw what you did with it. Your FO is flattering and cool and just...really really good.

I've been thinking of making this for a while
now it might well be the next thing  knit.
I love your version - I really like that the cream stripes are wider - not sure why, it just looks right Smiley
