I was just browsing around and read these directions to the apartment I moved away from in 1994    I was a teacher in the SAISD back then.

I haven't lived in SA (or Texas) since then, but I'm not surprised to read that that particular area is in decline.  I don't recall the name of the large apartment complex I lived in, but at first is was neat and professional, but after 4 years, the management changed and it was not uncommon to find scruffyish folks with coolers of beer hanging about the various pools partying on weekday mornings.

That was quite awhile ago!

I think we used to eat regularly at that Mexican restaurant. Is it "Sarita's"?

I have not been to the bead shop. There's also a fun gift wrap shop and a soap store close by.

I've got this date on my calendar & just realized I have several warm jackets my girls have outgrown. Dunno for sure if I'll make it, other obligations are as yet unsettled but I really hope so!

Hey SA Craftster!

I'm sort of new to the San Antonio area (well, I moved here about a year ago), and I'm looking for some thrifty buddies to go to yard sales, estate sales, and thrifts shops on Saturday mornings with me. (My boyfriend likes to sleep in all weekend, while I want to get things done!).

I live in NW San Antonio, and I've got a car. I'm primarily a knitter, but I'm interested in other crafts as well. Send me an email (sthomson06 AT gmail DOT com) if anyone is interested in starting some sort of Yard Sale caravan group.

Most Estate sales run Wed- Fri, occasionaly Thurs- Sat. I will continue posting them here as I get the e-mails! : ) Several companies only do two day sales.

I do my Estate sale-ing on Thursdays or Friday (mostly Fridays) because Sat & Sun are family days. My girls don't mind getting dragged to too many as it usually means eating lunch out & often seeing Nana (my mom).

I'm NW too, 151 & 1604 ish : )
