Oh man, this is so beautiful!  Such amazing work!  Thanks for sharing it!

And hoping for an early death you swam so far you lost your breath, and struggling in the ebb and flow I took your hand, but you let go...
And now the ocean fills your lungs, and now you've got what you had come for, resting peaceful as you sink to drown under a sea of strangers.

That is gorgeous, you did a fantastic job. Is it all felt?

mommabear1963 Thank you!
dyabolica Thank you and thanx for the tip about the bamboo canes. I've already checked in Home depot nursery, they don't have. Will go check a garden center, it will be better, I'm sure!
archer*of*loaf   You very welcome!
gingerquilts  I pinned it on his office wall (at home) to see how it looks and I caught him staring at it, standing up in the middle of the room, almost meditating!  Grin
elecbunni It's all felt. Felt is my girlfriend! The black background is woolfelt. It's thicker and stands better.

wow, thank you all again! I love trees so much and always feel sad when they cut big old trees in my neighborood. It's like a murder for me. Especially when it is supid reasons like getting more sun on a house!

I love wool felt.  I just bought a bunch of wool coats and skirts yesterday at a thrift store and felted it.  Can't wait to cut it up and make some goodies!  Your stitching on the leaves is great.  It really adds to the whole thing.  Glad your hubby likes it!

So beautiful!!!! The "will s/he like it" suspense phase is always rough (yet strangely exhilarating), but when someone really digs something you've worked so hard on for them, it just makes it all worthwhile, doesn't it? Smiley
I've seen bamboo canes at Wal-Mart, in the section with the fake flowers. (Some are dyed different colours, but I'm pretty sure I've seen un-dyed ones, too.)

Rock on, lady! (Felt is my girlfriend, too! lol)
