that design is super cool

i made some fortune things like this a couple of years ago

1. put clear duct tape over the fortune, and joined each end together to make a loop join with other to make a bracelet or kept single loops and made earrings and rings.
2. Like 1 but join them all in long row to make a single bracelet
3. make 3 of 2 and then stitch them together to make large cuff.

plus you get to nibble of those sugar cookies while you make them

instaead of 'in bed' my friend and i used to add 'in the bathtub' after stuff.... the best laughs were the hymn titles at church.  Cheesy i hope we're not going to hell for that...

I do the "in bed" thing, too, but my husband looks at me like I'm 3.  Grin

i've done a similar thing!  for about a year, i collected fortuenes, then strung them to make a belt.  it is actually now sewn onto what was once a boring purse strap.  the earrings are great!

we totally do the in bed thing too. Thinking of that, that would make an interesting t-shirt...photoshop up a fortune cookie message and add "IN BED!" under it in a swirly script.

way cool earrings-I obsessively collect everyone's fortunes in case  I need to make something out of them.  I did magnets (glue to magnetic backing and cover with clear packing tape) but jewelry never occurred to me . . . till now!
