Here's an action shot of my present from carolb! I love it, the hat fits perfectly over my ski mask and goggles. I may look silly with the mask and everything, but if it ever actually gets as cold as people tell me it will (-42 C plus a windchill) then I'll be thankful for being warm.

I also have a picture of the scarf I made for carolb

Happy New Year Everyone!

I recieved my Xmas present from MorningStar today and it was SO worth the wait!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

She sent me an adorable tree stuffie! Which is something I've wanted forever and  is being accompanied by a little bird from pinkdinosaur from a different swap.

And my favourite thing EVER! Also something that I've been wishing for, a gorgeous burgundy shawl. I absolutely LOVE it!!! Its not the best pic, but I'll try to get an action shot sometime soon.  Smiley

the actual color:

It is so soft and WAY COOL!  Grin Thank you so much Ashley! You are too awesome!

wow! fantastic shawl morningstar!!  I love that color! Did it take a long time, or did it knit up fairly quick?  And the tree is so adorable....perfect for seaofstar's collections of little owls!  I think you should set up a group shot seaofstars, hehe....with the tree....and your stuffies.....maybe draw them some sort of forest backdrop.....hehe.....soooo cute!

hehehe.....yes....i know that movie.  As long as you don't keep them all huddled together on your bed....like 50 of them, all staring blankly back at you.....and that you and your boy don't watch "The Birds" too often....or those Chucky movies.....

hehe  Wink

good, i'm glad you like it. i had fun making it.

knotty, it actually took me FOREVER. at the beginning, i thought of making her a purse, but that was way too easy. so i stalked her posts a bit, and saw she kept saying she wanted a shawl (Which, i just recently saw crossed off one of your lists, and this was right before i sent, so i was nervous cause i wasn't quite done with it!), so i thought, 'i could make one.'

i got a couple skeins of caron's simply soft, and started crocheting. i did have to start over once cause it was way too short.. width wise. (now it's a bit long)

but yeah, it took me a while. especially with working and making other stuff for christmas and swaps. so i felt bad and made her a tree!
