Wow. This was posted a long time ago. I'm a crafty beginner living in Columbus.

This probably isn't checked anymore, but you all have motivated me to finally make an account here on craftster (I've been lurking around for quite some time). I'm a CSU student as well, and I'll be around for a couple more years. I mostly sew, but I also enjoy upcycling and repurposing.

Do you all know of any good sewing/craft stores, or thrift/antique places off the beaten track?
As far as sewing/craft goes, I know of:
Hobby Lobby
Joann's (I miss AC Moore!)
Hancock
Michael's
Sew Much Fun (mostly quilting and notions, but they have a nice little flannel area, too)

I love thrift and antique places, but I only know of Goodwill, Salvation Army, and River Market Antique Mall down here. I've passed a few antique places while driving around town, but for various reasons I either didn't have the time or the courage to go in.

I don't know of any place other than the ones you listed.  Every now and then some of the thrift stores will have good stuff, but you have to go frequently to find anything!
