Hi,
I was wondering how many of you guys were out there.  I would love to start some kind of club of something to meet up with people in my area who knit, crochet whatever.  No one I know does much in the way of crafting.

Yeah, I know what you mean.  I was on meetup.com for a while and I would forget to go and I guess it just me and another person so I guess she gave up.   It took me awhile to get any kind of reply on here, there just aren't many north mississippians who are young and craft and etc.

I know that this thread has long since been dormant, but I figured that it was easier and less crowded to post here than start a new thread.

It is quite bloody possible that the girlfriend and I will be moving to Tupelo. Whee! Can anyone fill me in on the craft scene there? Are there any good yarn shops or crafty meetups ( you know..stich and bitch, ect ect ect)?

Any and all info that you might pass on would be welcome! If we end up there, I'd be interested in meeting up with folks! Thank you!

I am greatly sorry my friend...but there isn't one. There are only a few of us, and try as we might nobody is interested in crafty exploits. I'm sure one of us would love to get together and party if you would like. I live in Starkville about an hour south of Tupelo. I'm pretty sure there is a Yarn shop in Columbus, MS. I am not sure about Tupelo though.

Well, rats! I had my fingers crossed for a yarn shop. I at least hope that there is a Michael's or Hobby Lobby or a Joannes. Please tell me that there is!

I can understand that it is hard to get folks together for crafty exploits. Perhaps that just means a few more road trips to find some.

Thanks for the info!

There is a Hobby Lobby, and there always is a Wal-Mart for really cheap yarn in a pinch. I buy my nice yarn onine, I know it's not as nice as going somewhere and feeling the yarn. But it just has to do.
