It is an unseasonably warm day today in Oklahoma (about 85 right now). So my sons and I drove out to the lake to walk around, feed the ducks, etc. We found lots of pieces of broken glass on the beach that had been tumbled smooth. We took them home, washed them up and made this:

I wrapped the pieces in colored wire, strung them on jute, and tied the strings around a piece of wood. It looks really neat when the hits it.

That is really cool.  You can think of summer all winter now.

Wow, that is gorgeous. That glass looked painted. Does beach glass really look like that? I don't think I understand what beach glass actually is. Is it broken glass from bottles? Stupid question, but please humor me. lol

it is just pieces of broken glass that had washed around on the bottom of the lake untill the edges are smooth, some are just different colors (brown, green, clear)
