I'm looking for a pattern or tutorial to make a laptop case that looks like amy butler's nola laptop case that you can BUY but I want to make something similar. Does anyone have an idea?

Is this close enough? Laptop Case from HancockFabrics.com

I am looking for a macrame cigarette case pattern, made one years ago. Maybe I used a sunglass case pattern, but it had a flip over top. Can anyone help me out? Thanks ahead of time!

HELP!

I want to make a bag for my 3YO niece for Christmas (maybe with a little coin purse attached). I was thinking maybe A4 size so she can put some toys in it. Nothing too complicated because I'm not that good! Also it needs to fold down nice and small/flat so I can post it to New Zealand (from the UK) without it costing a fortune.

Thanks

Maybe something like this? http://www.amazon.com/Peacock-B014Set-Batik-within-Purse/dp/B000VI2DZ6
Doesn't look too difficult to make and not too big either..
(I'd love to make something like this for my 2,5 y/0 as well)

I found this very very cute bag on etsy and I would lvoe to make it for my mother-in-law. I could easily just buy it from etsy but I really want to make it myself to show her how awesome and special she is.

here is a link to the bag http://www.etsy.com/listing/62697811/christmas-sale-10-off-use-coupon-code

if you seen a pattern similar to this or have any advice on how to make this (I am horrible at making stuff without a pattern) I would really really appreciate it!

The listing says it is made out of canvas, can I buy that at Joanns?

Thanks a bunch!

I've seen similar patterns in Joann's; you probably won't get a pattern for all the inside pockets or misc. straps, like closure and the one securing the optional strap, but those are just rectangles anyway. You can probably modify a diaper bag pattern. It's not difficult, but if you're making it out of thick canvas, there's going to be a LOT of fabric to sew through - plus if you use interfacing - on the sides where you have full-length and side pockets meeting at the same place, and at the top where the strap meets. My machine would definitely struggle to get over the strap hump.
