Yay for Christmas Music! I'm in!! I've got a lot of Jazz, Charlie Brown, and traditional music (some REALLLY traditional, like medieval carols) This may be a great chance to share the jazz and get some alt rock & dance/chillout/remixes etc! Woot!

I agree!  Yay for Christmas music.  I'm not even Christian, and I can hardly get enough Christmas music!  I just sent my sign up off.

i just sent in my info. this will be cool! i was just lamenting the other day that all my xmas music is gone. because downloaded it in college to one computer, transferred it to my new computer, then to another new one, then to an mp3 player which died. i still have a few songs, and will track down others, but it sure will be nice to get the collection going again!

my absolute fave xmas song: sleigh ride (i have a few versions)

I'm really interested in this swap.  Making mixed cds is the best.  . . .But, okay, maybe I'm dumb, but what's the difference between music files and mp3s. . .?  (I know stupid question.)

yes, an mp3 is an audio file, but it's a much smaller audio file than a wav, rax, wma, etc. and not all cd players can play mp3 files (especially if the player is older) but, if burned properly, every player can play the audio files.

i know a lot of burners don't even give you the option of burning as an mp3 (for instance realplayer doesn't let you burn mp3 files unless you pay a subscription fee, you can only burn as 'audio' files, which is, i believe, wav).  and the default burner that came with my computer doesn't allow you to burn mp3's unless that's what format they were already in (ie, it doesn't convert wav or rax to mp3 as some programs do).

i just started using itunes, and i believe it lets you do whatever the hell you want. i didn't see any disclaimers about paying to burn an mp3 instead of burning it in itunes format.

the biggest difference is that you can fit more mp3s on a mix cd than you can fit other file formats.

We're getting big!
The last couple of days I've received a bunch of PM and probably won't have time to update everyone and add them to the list till tomorrow cause things are super busy at work and I don't have internet at home.
Don't worry if you don't see your name on the list till then.
ALSO
Sign ups end at 5pm EST on Friday.
That will give me time to get everyone their partners before the weekend.

A motif is like a picture or a design:  snowflakes, reindeer, santa...that sorta thing.
