Well here is a couple of pictures of my mom's Mother's day present (better late than never!).  I basically used the messanger bag directions but I added some stuff.

I work at an aviation company where we have an upholstry dept and the guy gave me a piece of what he called Landsdown foam.  It's the kind of foam that the craft shapes are made of just a mm thicker.  I cut it about a quarter of an inch smaller (all around) than the back of the bag and sewed it on before I did the lining, I also did a piece on the bottom.  I makes it alot sturdier!

thats a very nice "go" at a bag, it turned out great! approx how big is the bag? i can kinda get an idea from the last pic but its hard to tell

Thanks!!  I made the bag 10X13 inches and it's 2 1/2 inches deep.  Perfect for a bust mag!!
