i just joined in the hopes of finding a few like minded DIYers in my neck of the woods. have car, will travel, so oshkosh on up to GB are not out of the question. i'm in neenah, so oshvegas and appleton are especially close for me, but i get around the valley a lot. i'm almost always open on thursday nights.

isn't that the truth up here?  my hubby works in GB, so he makes the run every day.

i know there are some crafty-friendly places in oshkosh, but i really don't know of too many in appleton or GB. i was really hoping somebody would have knowledge of a craft co-op or some sort of venue where people get together to work and swap.

yeah, there's not even a stitch'n'bitch group north of madison that i know of.  my coworkers are intrigued with the idea of kickin up a GB weekly craft night.  once i get decent tires on my van i'll be more confident winter wise.  last winter, i didn't bother getting all weather tires put on(i'd just moved from seattle) and that poor van slid everywhere!!  lol  what kinda crafts are you into?

oh, too funny, francie: hubby came home last night and told me he needed to get new tires before the weather starts up 

i do a bit of everything and bounce between projects. i have made jewelry (mostly beaded) since i was a kid. i knit, embroider, make melt-n-pour soaps, sew pillow shams, do a small bit of quilting. i've started making a few clothing pieces. i make barbie clothes for friends' kids and decorate wooden furniture for said dolls. i'm an avid gardener into heirloom stuff, so i do a lot of canning and drying, which i then turn into gifts. for instance, dear hubby and i make our own hot sauces and chile powder from the 9 types of hot peppers we grew, i made lavender vanilla sugar from my herb bed, and we also are just trying mustards. i used to do graphic design, so i make all my own labels and tags for stuff. oh, and i make dog treats for my pooch

daaaam girl, you need to move on next door to me    i do a little of everything... sew, knit, cook, garden(though i'm mostly new to it, got any good garlic advice? its in the ground as we speak), read, and hopefully i play more guitar this winter.  we'll definetly have to set something up soon.  i'm off to manituwac(sp??) to be den mom to the youth group kids.  my husband better be thankful i'm willing to do this for him hahahaha   stay warm this weekend!!!!

btw, what kinda pooch do you have?  and do they like to wrassle??  our young miss libby is in need of a dog buddy.  i'm leaving her at this kennel over the weekend so she can get some major play time in.... but rob and i are on the lookout for fellow dog owners that would be down with a play date.  LOL  i made some doggie bagels that are to die for    kay, talk at ya later.

our dog, ramone, is a 2-yr-old black lab. he adores other dogs, really loves play dates. still puppyish and very playful. what type is libby?

libby's about 7 monthes old.  we got her from the humane society... as far as we can tell she's black lab/shepard/rott mix.  and she's a dearrrrrrrrrr girl.  i just picked her up from the kennel and all the workers just gushed about how sweet and loving she was LOLOL(insert proud mama).  we took her out to a farm field in denmark a few weeks ago.  another couple were out there with their enormous wolf hounds and i was amazed at how well libby was able to keep up.  she was running like a greyhound out there LOL  very playful and very submissive with other dogs.  i bet she'd love ramone.
