Me too... I'd love to get some of those bubbly minty chocolate bars they have in the UK... what are they called again??  And DH would like some Jelly Babies (he's a huge Dr. Who dork -- I mean FAN!  Wink )... although maybe not since they're purportedly made from gelatin, and we're vegetarians...

YES  AEROS!  I don't know why I couldn't remember that since my dog's name is Arrow.

Veggie jelly babies would be great!  DH would be so pleased!  Now I'm really looking forward to this swap.   Cheesy

I would totally be up for this! Please keep me posted on when this is going to happen. I know this is going to sound sooo corny but I love the shows Viva Blackpool, The Robinsons, the Office and basically anything with Martin Freeman in it

Oh boots stuff is very nice ...

What else would people like from England , I cant really think of any food items i would like from america as im not big on sweets .

It got me thinking , what does America have that England dosnt and vice versa .. id love to join as I could send alot of london things and such just not entirely sure what to ask for  Undecided

I'd LOVE ephemera like old photos, seaside postcards, anything like that, especially from Kent as I lived in Canterbury, or kitchy stuff from Margate, Blackpool, Skegness...or touristy stuff from Wales. Hmmm..I'd  enjoy British TV stuff like Bagpuss and Magic Roundabout, that we don't get here, as well as London Transport type stuff...as for what we have that you don't...I'd have to think about it. I used to take peanut butter candies like reeses over cause we couldn't get them when I lived there (word spread fast among US students if someone got a PB related package from home!) Not sure what else offhand...maybe other pop culture type stuff? Or regional stuff, souvenier type items?

I havn't read the rest of this huge thing so will prob look stupid but I'm such in Canterbury atm  Grin and think this is a pretty cool swap for after xmas... kinda delayed presents  Wink

Ok, well, there seems to be plenty of interest. My only concern is that this "interest" seems to be leaning more heavily in favor of our UK friends as far as swapping goes

C'MON AMERICANS, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!

(we'll still figure a way to do this)  Wink

I'm in Illinois, USA.  I LOVE Trebor Extra Strong Mints!!!  My girl teamwang sends me these; she's a totally awesome and generous craftqueen. - more often than not, she just up and sends them, asking nothing in return!  We did a one-on-one swap; I sent her sketches of her cats, plus Altoids and little crafts.  She sent me a fantastic collection that included Cluedo stuff (I love Clue and Cluedo!), Trebors, Red Dwarf stuff (best show ever!), even an old bookplate of Wat Tyler killing the tax collector (I'm a big Wat Tyler/peasant revolt fan).

Once the new year comes and the swap slate is clean, I might be ready to do this.  If my partner wasn't sure what to make/pick and just sent me a crate full o' hard peppermint Trebors, I'd be one happy chick!
