Yay, we have a larder too! It's under our stairs though inside, still cold though especially in this weather!

Yeah, ours leads out from the kitchen. The underthestairs cupboard is full of loo roll and coats and other such junk (dunno what we'd do without it!)

Aah - understairs cupboards... homes of junk everywhere.  I don't have an understairs cupboard now, but I do have a next-to-the-lift-shaft cupboard, and a couple of under-the neighbours cupboards... I love living in a flat Wink

I live in Edinburgh... I'd love to join this swap to get some American goodies - my boyfriend's American (he moved over here thought) and he often wishes we could get Peter Pan and Jif peanut butter - he says our peanut butter isn't the same. We can't get Big Red chewing gum over here any more either.

Would we just be sending things we'd bought or could we include something we'd made too? That would be fun, but I'm not sure if people would have time, what with searching out stuff to buy and everything.

I was thinking a mix of both: craft and/or purchased (small things). Don't want to put anyone out financially. Also, could be things like a section of newspaper, flyers, posters, brochures, menus...y'know, free & cheap stuff. Anything goes. The craft part could be optional. I think the fun part of this swap would be based on the element of surprise!

So, a larder is part cellar and part indoors cupboard? What's a dyson?

You guys are speaking a diff language!  Grin Grin

PS: A co-worker just walked by handing out pieces of chocolate-covered macadamia nut candy. Flown in from Hawaii. (Do they get macadamias in the UK?) They are divine!!!

Big Red chewing gum is still one of the best bargains in the US. 20 cents the pack.

A Dyson saved my life. Well, maybe not, but it's the best vacuum I've ever had, with my 3 long haired pets. It's the one with the ad on TV with the guy who says "It NEVER loses suction", which sounds a bit dirty, but is true! Long live my dyson! Best of all, it's purple   Grin

We had a purple and green one (he was called Derek!) but it died  =(  So now we have one of the boring yellow and grey ones.  It's just not the same.  I don't even remember his name  =(
